From the silicon molded jacket mixed with pigment to create a gum color reminiscent of dental acrylic (one of Edmier’s trade mark materials), to the flowing lava of the endpapers, to the pressed resin rose, to the fabric swatch, to the photos and Home Catalog, we drew from the materials of Edmier’s art practice—merging part photo album, part scrapbook, part exhibition catalogue in homage to an artistic vision rich in autobiography. The symmetry of structure mirrors his career chronologically, the Mother-mold of the original family photo album encasing the pages, womb-like.
