Goto Design has just completed the branding and identity for Streetbird Rotisserie, Marcus Samuelson’s follow-up to Red Rooster, Harlem. Opening to an enthusiastic crowd it has already garnered favorable press. Drawing on Harlem street culture with a Caribbean beat Streetbird’s visual references read like an eclectic ‘best of’ mix-tape. The playlist bridges generations, and cultures, crossing over the 50s through the 80s. Diners, neon scripted signage, sports mascots, boom boxes, skaters, and Wild Style. Ska, reggae, and early hip-hop. The mix plays on.
