Reversed Double Helix
Rockefeller Plaza was transformed into a fantastical pop cityscape by a 30-foot-tall Buddha-like figure, flanked by four smaller figures and a forest of mushroom seating. We took this figure and created it as a pop-up — setting it against a fantastical Murakami backdrop — a mix of tradition and modernity. We printed the invitation with multiple details, which by its design and fold served as both back and front. Similarly, the banners mirrored each other in this way.
